Foster Family Appreciation Week: Meet The Elsberry Family

The second week of February is celebrated as Foster Family Appreciation Week in Florida. This week we want to introduce you to some of our fantastic foster families.

One of our Kids First caseworkers describes the Elsberry Family this way:

This is by far one of the best foster families I’ve worked with during the 6.5 years I’ve been working in child welfare. I admire Mrs. Elsberry not just for her ability to handle the ups and downs of a child with extreme behavioral issues, but more so because she fully takes on the role of being a parent to the children placed in her home. She wants to be involved in every aspect, attending staffings, providing critical input, and scheduling and attending all appointments without any hesitation. The Elsberry family has taken in one of the most challenging children in our care, and he’s thriving to the best of his abilities because of their unconditional love and support. We couldn’t ask for a better family to be a part of our KFF team!

Super excited that the Elsberry family is being recognized. Very well deserved. Melissa & Jerry are phenomenal and their children have such kind & caring souls.

Melissa’s love for children has been apparent from an early age. How fortunate any child is to be in her care. She is devoted to her God & family!
